Biography

Guy Djoken is a renowned global advocate for social justice and human rights, serving as Chairman of the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations, and Executive Director of the Washington, D.C.-based UNESCO Center for Peace. A dedicated Pan Africanist, Guy has been appointed by the Maryland Democratic Party as Chair of the Continental African Diversity Leadership Council, effective early 2023.

Guy’s latest advocacy efforts focus on recognizing access to the internet as the 31st basic human right under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. With a proven track record in global leadership and international affairs, Guy is passionate about bridging the gap between the privileged and the marginalized.

Throughout his distinguished career, Guy has received numerous awards and honors for his tireless efforts, including the prestigious Gandhi Peace Award, the Nikola Tesla Global Forum White Dove Award, and the Justice Thurgood Marshall Award, among others.
